viss kritik har nått undertecknad angående en samling foton som tagits under en fantastisk vecka på världens bästa plats. och kritiken må vara befogad, jag kan erkänna det. kan vara så att jag precis efter råkade flytta till en ny jävligt cool plats och att intryck, mer foton och annat trams gjorde att övrigt i livet glömdes bort. för detta bes det om ursäkt. och här är en rad bildbevis från en solig vecka i funäs i augusti:

the new start

summer keeps staying and even up here in northern norway we go for morning swims and walk around in shorts, something i didn't count on when packing for the trip. i've had two amazing last weeks in sweden and spent the last one in funäs with rita, doing hikes, riding, picking cloudberries and finally getting up on helags! outstanding.

pretty sweet to get going towards lofoten sunday morning though, at last. it's absolutely amazing up here but i won't write to much about it now, instead i will post the link to our new project blog where you can read all about the adventures i do up here this coming year together with my fellow swedes henny and kim. it is as follows:

you lose it, just to find it

it's been a while, it's not what i intend but it seems to happen all the time anyway. i'm back in scandinavia after an outstanding summer in canada and a good week of sailing in scotland with my crazy parents.

next step is about ten days in gothenburg to catch up with friends and family and pack for the next big adventure, the move up to lofoten, norway. i'm very excited. it's gonna be a year of new experiences, new friends and new insights. and i'm going with two of the coolest girls i know. with henny and kim, both of which i've been working with this past winter. both of who i admire highly.

as i said, i'm very excited. let's get at it!

dreams

sixteen hours on the greyhound later, smoothie and joni mitchell at starbucks in abbotsford while waiting for kevan. feeling a bit lost after being so well taken care of by the mcmahon family since i arrived in the beginning of may. they've been spoiling me, big time. heading back to the chilcotins now though, for a visit - that happens to involve some work, if you know what i mean. i wont complain for a second about that. not if it means anything similar to this:

dear jonathan, i liked you too much

ahhh, where did the updates go? i guess my prime blogging days are over, sorta. but i still enjoy it, when i remember the blog exists! so here we go.

the past month flew by. i can't believe i've been back in alberta for an entire fucking month. but i have. three weeks at bear camp is almost over and we'll start the last week of hunting on sunday. which is too bad, but i guess all good has an end.

it's been a bunch of great guys here hunting, we've had really beautiful weather and on top of that i get to work with the best boys in the world. at the most incredible place. with the lodge just on the shore of grist lake, surrounded by trees and trees and trees as far as you can see, i wouldn't wanna be anywhere else. not much connection with the rest of the world, just like at the ranch. i love it.

after the season's over, we'll gather all our shit and head back down to edmonton, and then almost right away leave for jon and alisons cabin in bc. just be off, have camp fires, listen to music, drink beer and enjoy the nature at the foot hills. i don't want to leave here, but with that as a substitute, it feels okay.

and i guess that's it for now. gotta keep it short, short but sweet. heard that's the thing.

another trip overseas, some jet lag, some amazing people. i'm back with my partner in crime, my black lab, and she's as funny looking and endlessly happy as ever. 

love you puppy, so glad to be conquering the prairies with you again. ♥
